A great tribute to Jennifer Aniston, whose name was among those of other great stars such as Barbra Streizand  and Michelle Pfeiffer.She attended the 18th annual event held by Elle magazine and received the 'Elle women in Hollywood ' honor for having redifined women's roles in movies.

AND......ACTION
2011 was the year that Jen got once again behind camera. She joined Demi Moore, Alicia Keys, Patty Jenkins , Penelope Spheeris and directed one of the series of five short films for Lifetime's Project five.The films depict the lives of different women battling Breast Cancer and explore the impact of the disease on the lives of the sufferers as well as of all those around them.

THE TEE DESIGNER

BLACK COMEDY HAS A NAME. 'HORRIBLE BOSSES '
Jen surprised the audience and critics with her naughty role as a nymphomaniac dentist in Seth Gordon's new black comedy 'Horrible bosses' .It was a challenge that she accepted revealing once more her multiple acting side.The movie was ranked #2 in USA on its opening weekend, hit #1 in many other countries and made more than 6 times its production budget.According to BO Mojo records, 'Horrible Bosses' is considered to be the highest opening black / dark comedy since 1982.

A PLACE IN CEMENT AND IN MOVIE HISTORY 
This was also the year that Jennifer Aniston lived one of her biggest dreams.She got immortilised in cement by leaving her mark and signature outside Grauman's Theater in Hollywood. She got on her knees and left her hand and footprints in wet cement at a special ceremony given in her honor and officially became one of Hollywood's biggest superstars.Jen is also scheduled to have her own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, in 2012.

DECADE OF HOTNESS
Another award for Jennifer who once again was People's favorite Choice.The smoking hot actress got on stage and accepted the Decade of hotness Award at the Spike Tv awards in LA.

Sparkling in her black Versace dress, Jennifer Aniston attended the Glamour 2011 Women of the Year Awards held at Carnegie Hall in NYC, November 7.

Jennifer got on stage and presented the 'Queen of the night ' Award that went to her close friend Chelsea Handler for her famous late night Show.

During her presentation speech Jen had only praise for her pal while pointed out to the audience how much 'in love' she is with her.

Jennifer Aniston in St Jude's 2011 Thanks & Giving Campaign

Jennifer Aniston joins again St Jude's Thanks & Giving Campaign to encourage people to support St Jude's Children's Research Hospital this Holiday Season.

Among the stars who join Jennifer in helping raise awareness and funds for St Jude, are Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Shaun White, George Lopez, Dwyane Wane and Luis Fonsi.

''It's always so inspiring to meet the St Jude patients and their families each year. They have this increadible strength and spirit that remind you that although they are just kids they are fighting for their lives against a very adult disease'' said Jennifer Aniston who appears  in one of the new television spots alongside Haily, a 2 year old girl from Kentucky,battling a rare type of cancer.

It's not the first time that Jennifer Aniston teamed up with St Jude during their Thanks & Giving Campaign. It was in 2006 that she first participated in a Campaign alongside Marlo Thomas, Jimmy Smits, Ray Romano, Robin Williams and Bernie Mac in an attempt to encourage consumers to donate for the Nation's leading Pediatric Research and Treatment Center!

Jennifer Aniston and the Elle's Women in Hollywood Honor

Sparkling in her short, low-cut silver dress, Jennifer Aniston attended the Elle's 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute held by the fashion magazine at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, on Monday October 17.

The actress received an honor at the gala for having redifined women's roles in movies and literally stole the show in her breathtaking Kaufman Franco dress and the Balenciaga shoes.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Viola Davis, Naomi Watts, Rachel Wood, Freida Pinto, Elizabeth Olsen and Barbara Streisand -who received the L'Oreal Paris Legend Award - are a few of the stars who are also being feted during the ceremony.

A couple of days ago, Jen also attended the American Cinemateque Awards in Beverly Hills which were honouring Robert Downey Jr. for his contribution to cinema.

'' I threw a chair at a director.It wasn't my proudest moment.He was treating a script supervisor horribly...When the director walked in, i threw a chair at him.I missed of course.I was like, 'You can't speak to people like that.'I can't tolerate it.''

The Horrible bosses actress is among the stars who will receive the Elle Honour at the 18th Elle Women in Hollywood Gala. The annual event is held by the fashion magazine to pay tribute to those who have redefined women's roles in movies.
The ceremony will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on October 17.

Jennifer Aniston is the director of 'Mia', one of Lifetime's short movies about breast cancer that air on October 10.

Jennifer Aniston screens five in Washington DC and visits Breast Cancer Center in Virginia

Jennifer Aniston continues her promotional five tour, so last night she attended the second screening of the movie that was held at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington D.C.

The actress walked on the blue carpet along with Patricia Clarkson, producer Kristin Hahn, Second Lady of the United States Jill Biden and Liftime's President Nancy Dubuc.

Earlier on that day, Jennifer visited the Breast Care Center at the Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia lending her support to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The actress was joined by the wife of the Vice President Jill Biden, the secretary of Health & Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and the producer Kristin Hahn.

Jennifer toured the Center, met with doctors and got informed about methods of treatment as well as the difficulties that patients without a health insurance have to face.During her visit to the clinic she had the chance to talk to several women who suffer from the disease and joined a group of cancer survivors where she got emotional by listening to their stories about dealing with breast cancer.

Project five is an anthology of five short films about the impact of breast cancer on people's lives.The films are directed by Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, Alicia Keys, Patty Jenkins , Penelope Spheeris and air on Lifetime Tv on October 10.

'Every great achievement begins with a small step'.With this motto and the charity shirt she designed with the 'Warriors in Pink' campaign, Jennifer Aniston raises awareness about breast cancer.

The 'Reach for the Moon' cotton shirts that come in both white and grey, are available at Fordcares.com for $20 and 100% of the proceeds from the sales will go on finding a cure for the disease.

The charity shirt features a cartoon family on the moon and on the back of the garment reads: ''If we can put a man on the moon, we can find a cure for breast cancer''.

Jen recently directed a short  movie for Lifetime's project five which is an anthology of five short films about the impact of breast cancer on people's lives.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux did a mini photoshoot for photographer Terry Richardson just before heading at the Skylight Soho for the private screening of Jen's directing project five.
The couple cuddled up and joked around during the shoot and the result is better than expected.

  

 

 Later on  that day Jennifer attended the premiere of movie five and  hit the blue Carpet wearing a sexy all black ensemble and launching a wavy hair look.

Jen directed one of the five short films about breast cancer and for that reason she worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood such as Demi Moore, Alicia Keys,Patricia Clarkson,  Marta Kauffman , Kristin Hahn. Here's what Jen had to say about this collaboration:
"It was like a dream come true, honestly, and such an important piece that we all were invested in.It was like working with, not only our best friends, but they're also incredible producers, and all of us coming together. We just can't believe that we're actually here. It's amazing."

Patricia Clarkson who plays the role of Mia in Jen's film was also there and had nothing but praise about Jennifer working behind the cameras: ''I was just surprised at how formidable she was. I've worked with a little someone called Martin Scorsese, a little someone called Woody Allen. And let me tell you, Jennifer holds her own, baby!"

Latest news on Jennifer Aniston

 Jennifer Aniston is doubtless one of those people who are more than missed when they are not around and definately one of those celebs who have to deal with the never-ending fake rumours about their private life!

As she had stated a few months ago,Jennifer  finally decided to take a short break from work and enjoy a bit more of her life.It's only a few months break from acting business and not as long as a year like many tabloids have claimed. Her rep sets the records straight on that ''She is not taking a year off. That is a huge exaggeration''.
 
After years of hard work,she decided that it's the right time for her to slow down for a while  and spend more time on herself.As her rep stated : ''She always intended to take a few months off after finishing Wanderlust and directing her short film (breast cancer charity TV movie Project Five) since she has basically been working nonstop for a few years straight.''


In the meantime her new movie ''Horrible bosses''  is doing great at the Box Office making so far more than  four times its production budget while it is considered to be the highest opening black / dark opening since 1982.The film is still on movie theaters worldwide and it is set to be released on DVD /Blue Ray in October.

 Another Jennifer's project that is about to come out soon , 'Wanderlust' directed by David Wain costaring Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux.This movie has also been rated R and was expected to hit movie theaters on October 7 but production company reportedly changed the release date.Although no official source has confirmed that yet, there are rumours that the movie will be finally be released in February 2012.

As for her directing project 'five'- a series of five short films that will together comprise Lifetime's Project Five - is set to be aired on October 10 via Lifetime. Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, Alicia Keys, Penelope Spheeris and Patty Jenkins directed those films that will each depict the lives of a different woman battling breast cancer and the anthology series will explore the impact of the disease on both the lives of the sufferers as well as those around them.

''Our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small.We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts all of our lives, no matter who we are.''said Jen a few months ago.
